Note how the sun light just penetrates the canopy in a few places. This is a secondary forest that is replacing an old banana plantation that replaced the primary forest.

Sometimes these vines/roots kill the host, but that's nature at work.

Here's another lizard that was caught by some passing tourists in the middle of dinner. He didn't move for a long time, so I got a chance to get this picture

That's the bill you see, but the rest is hard to distinguish. He's moving fast, pecking away.
